Acronis Extends Retail Offerings

SYDNEY, Aust., May 18, 2010 – Acronis (www.acronis.com.au), a leading provider of affordable, scalable onsite and offsite backup, disaster recovery and security solutions, today announced the expansion of its retail product range, with the launch of new consumer offerings through leading retail outlets.

Acronis has been selling its flagship consumer product Acronis True Image Home in retail stores since 2006. Beginning June 2010, consumers will find two more home solutions from Acronis on the shelf, Acronis True Image Home 2010 for three PCs and Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus.

Acronis True Image Home 2010 combines award-winning disk imaging and bare metal restore technology which allow users to quickly recover from disruptive events including virus outbreaks, unstable software downloads or hard drive failures. The new Acronis Nonstop Backup feature offers users automatic system and data protection through incremental backups, allowing for complete roll back to any point in time. Compatible with Windows 7, Acronis True Image Home 2010 also helps ensure users to safely migrate to Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus has two components – Acronis True Image Home 2010 and Plus Pack, an add-on solution to True Image Home 2010. In addition to the features in Acronis True Image 2010, Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus enables users to restore their files, applications and operating system to a new or replacement machine, regardless of the make and model, if a machine is lost, stolen or damaged. It also provides support for dynamic disks and Windows Preinstallation Environments.

“Retail is an important part of our business in ANZ. The demand for our home solutions on the retail market has been strong. As a result, we are making more products available to consumers who prefer to buy in stores,” said Simon Howe, ANZ Country Manager for Acronis. “Only available through retailers, Acronis True Image Home 2010 for three PCs is designed for families with two or more computers. Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus targets power users and offers them the flexibility to restore their PCs to dissimilar hardware. With these two new products, consumers will have more options and be better protected.”

Pricing and Availability

The three Acronis True Image Home products will be available in all major computer retailers from June 2010. Acronis True Image Home 2010 licensed for one user is priced at AU$79. RRP for Acronis True Image Home 2010 licensed for up to three users is AU$149 and Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus (licensed for one user) is AU$109.
