Acronis Extends Home User's Information Protection with Security Solutions

All-in-One Security Combined with Trusted Backup and Recovery Solutions to Provide Comprehensive Information Protection Against Data Loss and Security Threats

Sydney, Aust., February 10, 2010 — Acronis (http://www.acronis.com.au), a leading provider of onsite and offsite backup, disaster recovery and security solutions, today announced a broad set of products and services to safeguard critical data and systems from both internal and external threats. The new product family delivers the three elements of home computer protection – local backup/disaster recovery, online backup, and Internet security.

Acronis^® Backup and Security 2010 software is one of only a few solutions to provide comprehensive information protection that combines award-winning backup and recovery with Internet security, offering a compelling alternative to existing point solutions. Users can back up their systems locally for fast recovery of both data and their entire PC, which protects them against user error, disk failures and system failures. In addition, online backup provides remote location data protection in case of theft or physical disaster.

Licensed to protect up to three home computers, Acronis Backup and Security 2010 gives home users the peace of mind that they can protect their PCs and those of their family members against data loss and security threats including the many viruses, spam, phishing and identity theft attacks that threaten home computers every day. Users can securely bank, shop and surf the web, keep personal information and conversations private, enable parental controls and block unauthorised access to their wireless networks by using Acronis Backup and Security 2010 software.

The Acronis backup and security product family includes several security packages to give users a choice of protection options.

Acronis Backup and Security 2010 offers local backup and disaster recovery, and online data backup (5 GB available), along with full-featured internet security. Acronis Backup and Security 2010 Premium, which is scheduled to be available in March of this year, extends the online data backup capabilities to 250 GB plus the other powerful security and backup benefits of Acronis Backup and Security 2010. Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 provides a personal firewall, parental controls and protection from viruses, spyware, and phishing. Acronis Antivirus 2010 protects home computers from viruses, spyware, and phishing attacks.

These software products offer one-year protection for up to three home PCs, and can be renewed with an annual subscription service. All these products are currently available on www.acronis.com.au. The prices range from $49.99 for Acronis Antivirus 2010 up to $79.99 for Acronis Backup and Security 2010.
